EastEnders teased a possible next victim for Reiss Colwell on Tuesday, as one character appeared to be on to his dark behaviour.
A newcomer warned Reiss they had known he was bad for years, and that his recent actions had confirmed her fears. Following a shock death on the show, the newcomer vowed to go to the police about Reiss and his lies, but could she be targeted next?
Reiss appeared to kill his wife Debbie in a recent episode leaving viewers reeling. But the latest episode hinted that he had a dark past, and that he might have been behind Debbie’s health incident that left her in a care home a while ago.
Debbie’s mother Brenda was keen for answers on Tuesday night, and she soon issued a sinister threat that did not go down well with Reiss. But could Brenda end up regretting taking him on, and could Reiss strike again to silence her?
Last week, the BBC soap appeared to confirm Reiss had turned killer, as it was implied he had suffocated his wife at the care home she had been living in in recent years. Some time ago, Debbie was believed to have suffered a stroke with her in a coma at the care home ever since.
Brenda learned during Tuesday’s episode that Reiss had recently used Debbie’s savings while she remained in a coma, with him using it towards IVF treatment with new partner Sonia Fowler. Brenda also found out amid Reiss’ financial issues and him not being able to afford the care home fees, that he had planned an investment with Sharon Watts – while Reiss is actually scamming her.

This was the last straw for Brenda who confronted Reiss, and claimed she knew all about his dark past. It was hinted that there was something Reiss was hiding, with Brenda claiming she knew from the moment they met that he was “broken” and had secrets.
Brenda appeared to imply that Debbie actually planned to leave her husband and that their marriage was not a happy one. She claimed Debbie would call her prior to her stroke, saying she couldn’t stand Reiss and that there was something odd about him.
Brenda then called it “tragic” that Debbie suffered the life-changing stroke before she could leave him, before insinuating that Reiss may have had something to do with what happened to her. She then vowed to go to the police about the money and what she knew about Debbie.
Reiss gave her a sinister look as he panicked as she fled the house. But does Brenda need to watch her back, and could she be his next victim?
