EastEnders star James Farrar has shared that he had to rush his young daughter, Summer, to hospital
recently.
The actor, who plays Zack Hudson on the soap, posted a video of Summer walking down a sunlit road
with his wife, Ali Roff Farrar, on Instagram, and shared in the caption that their family have experienced
an extremely difficult week.
While James, Ali and Summer have recently been enjoying a trip across Europe, they were forced to cut their holiday short when they received some tragic news.

“We didn’t finish documenting our roadtrip because soon after this shot we heard news of the sudden and unexpected death of an adored family member,” James explained. “A few hours later my Mum ends up in hospital. Then yesterday, Summer had a fall on her head and is rushed to A&E (she’s okay). When it rains it pours.”
The actor went on to pay tribute to his Aunty Denny following her death, calling her “good to her core” and adding that “Grief is the price we pay for love. I won’t stop loving, deeply. So I’ll have to accept the deep pain of grieving. That’s life.”

James and Ali welcomed Summer in November 2021, with James announcing their baby’s arrival by sharing a photo of her alongside the words “Life will never stand still again and nor will I!”
James has previously spoken about his decision to stop doing modelling work in order to spend more time with his family, explaining that he didn’t want to keep taking jobs overseas.
“I think it was a blessing that I took the job on EastEnders because Summer, my little baby, wouldn’t have arrived if I was still doing the silly hours and travelling I was doing with modelling,” he said.
