The day of Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) trial finally arrives in EastEnders next week and it is packed full of twists and turns ahead of its shocking outcome.
Viewers will know that Dean is on trial for the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) after being framed by The Six, who were all present when Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed him to death on Christmas Day.
In upcoming scenes, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is still under suspicion from Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), but continues to protest her innocence.
When Linda later arrives at No.43 to support her best friend ahead of the trial, they are interrupted by Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who arrives to take Albie for his first day of school – something Sharon is gutted to be missing.
‘It’s a very real reminder of all the other milestone moments she could miss if the trial doesn’t go to plan,’ actress Letitia Dean explained.

‘It breaks her heart that she can’t be there with him on his first day of school, but it makes her all the more determined to fight. She wants to get the events of the day out of the way and get back to her little boy.’
This leaves her even more worried about the outcome of the trial, which in turn unsettles vulnerable Linda. Thankfully, Phil is able to reassure them both.
As Sharon heads to court, she asks Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) to check in on Linda be she testifies.
In court, things take a worrying turn when Sharon struggles under the pressure of her cross-examination when Dean’s solicitor brings up information from her past, and soon a situation escalates that could have serious repercussions for The Six…
Having witnessed the series of events, terrified Linda flees the court, leaving Sharon horrified.
As The Six anxiously await an update, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) and Phil frantically search for missing Linda.
Meanwhile, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) tries to focus on Charli’s first birthday party but she ends up burning the cake. Around the same time, Suki faces Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) wrath when she riles at her for bailing on the party, unaware that The Six have much bigger issues to deal with.
As the Slaters gather for karaoke, things take a turn for the worse when Stacey is forced to leave the celebrations.
Elsewhere, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) has her own struggles when Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) brings up the trial after sensing that Denise is upset, but Denise ends up snapping at her.
The next day, The Six are left reeling by an update in Dean’s trial that has huge repercussions, as it becomes clear that their ordeal is far from over…
Under enormous pressure, one member of the group makes an enormous decision that they may live to regret…
