Rose’s elaborate scheme goes disastrously wrong in Emmerdale, putting her in significant danger. Ruby Fox Milligan is determined to finish what her husband Caleb started by bringing down Kim Tate. While Caleb had his son Nicky infiltrate Home Farm as a nanny, Ruby uses Rose Jackson to further her plans. Rose, Will Taylor’s ex and Dawn’s mother, is indebted to Ruby after being bailed out of financial trouble. Ruby constantly reminds her of this, pressuring Rose to stay involved.
Complicating matters, Rose has grown close to Dawn, who needs support as her son Evan battles leukemia. Rose also cares for her other grandchildren, Clemmie and Lucas. On July 15th, Ruby pressures Rose to make progress at Home Farm. Rose, having overheard a conversation between Will and Kim about Kim covering up for Billy and Nate, seizes an opportunity.
Kim had hidden the truth from Dawn about Billy’s drunken episode, which possibly led to Evan’s illness. Rose thanked Kim for her support, pretending to admire her, and announced she was quitting drinking. While Will was impressed, Kim remained suspicious.
After a tense phone call with Ruby, Rose found herself alone with Will. She pretended to be emotional about being given a second chance with the family. As Will expressed his gladness, Rose tried to k.i.s.s him, but he recoiled, demanding to know what was wrong with her.
Attempting damage control, Rose begged Will not to tell Kim, fearing it would make her feel insecure and push Dawn into a downward spiral. However, Kim Tate is not known for insecurity—vengeance is more her style. Now that Rose’s true intentions have been exposed, she should be very worried about what Kim might do next.
