ONE Walford resident was left teetering on the edge of death as they went into cardiac arrest following a
scary nightclub crush.
The disaster hit Peggy’s as swarms of people struggled to breath and find their feet in the packed out
venue.
Many of Albert Square’s residents found themselves in the club as it quickly became clear that peoplewere being taken injured and battling for their lives.
In today’s episode of the BBC soap, it was revealed that teen Amy Mitchell was left fighting for her life after being left with devastating injuries in the horror accident.
She was seen being wheeled out of the club on a stretcher and surrounded by hoards of paramedics.
Her dad Jack was left aghast that she had been inside the club after previously believing her to be safe and nowhere near the venue, particularly given that she is too young to be in Peggy’s.

As Amy was wheeled closer to the ambulance, one of the medical crew could be heard confirming: “She’s gone into cardiac arrest.
“Get her into that ambulance!”
Jack pleaded about “his daughter” as he put his head in his hands as he began to get to grips with the severity of the situation.
As he was told to “step aside”, the crews began their attempts to save Amy using a defibrillator leaving the fate of the popular teen unknown.

The harrowing scenes left fans shaken as they debated whether Amy would make it out alive or not.
Writing online, one fan said: “That Duff Duff was heartbreaking. Please let Amy be ok.”
Another begged: “They better not kill off Amy you know.”
A third went on to write: “Please do not kill Amy #Eastenders She is a Fox girl. Please don’t destroy that!”
Elsewhere in the episode, Lauren Branning was also revealed to have suffered a chest wall injury as well as a damaged lung but doctors in the hospital reassured her that with pain relief and time she would begin to feel better.
Kim Fox could also be seen suffering from a panic attack as reality began to set in over the tragedy.
