EastEnders appeared to hint there could be horror ahead for Alfie Moon as stepson Tommy Moon’s storyline continued.
Alfie threatened the teenager during Tuesday’s episode, after finding out he had been violent towards his mum Kat Slater. Alfie was shocked when Kat revealed Tommy had hit her during a row, while this isn’t the first time Tommy has been violent.
As Tommy sat down with Alfie on Tuesday, Alfie warned him never to lay a finger on Kat ever again, revealing he was sickened by his actions. Alfie vowed that “no son of his” hurt a woman, and that if he ever did it again “the rematch would be with him”.
Alfie hinted he wouldn’t be worried about fighting Tommy if he needed to to protect Kat, and to stop him being violent. Tommy told him he wouldn’t do it again, but it was clear Kat was unsure about his behaviour and his intentions.
As Alfie managed to convince Kat to go on holiday with her youngest sons, Kat was uneasy as she stared at Tommy. Alfie claimed it was all sorted and that they would be fine, but Kat warned her ex not to underestimate the teenager, with him clearly manipulating situations.
As Kat left the room she looked worried as Tommy smirked at her, while playing nice with her after his violent actions. Alfie clearly thought he and Tommy were on the same page and Tommy let him think that, but when he wasn’t looking Tommy pulled a sinister expression that made it clear he was playing him.

So what has Tommy got planned for Kat and Alfie, and could Alfie be in danger? Amid the abuse plot escalating, could the scene in the café with Alfie teasing a showdown hint at danger ahead?
It comes as the soap confirmed a child to parent abuse storyline. Over the next few weeks and months, viewers will see Tommy use his behaviour to control and dominate Kat. This will have a huge effect on their relationship, as well as a wider effect on the whole Slater-Moon family.
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, said: “Kat is well-known in Albert Square for her no-nonsense attitude and fiery temper, but this storyline will explore how Tommy manipulates Kat’s unequivocal love for her son to exert his anger and elicit control.
“Jessie [Wallace] and Sonny’s [Kendall] performances have thoughtfully portrayed the complex realities of child to parent abuse with compassion and understanding, and the storyline will demonstrate how Tommy’s behaviour effects their relationship and the wider Slater-Moon family as a whole. To ensure we accurately and sensitively portray the realities of child to parent abuse, we have worked alongside Family Based Solutions, PEGS and NSPCC as well as other experts in the field.”
