EastEnders fans fear that beloved resident Priya Nandra-Hart’s days are numbered on the soap.
Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) made her debut last year and rocked up to Walford with daughter Avani (Aaliyah James) as the ex-girlfriend and daughter of Ravi (Aaron Thiara).
At the time, Ravi had no idea he had a secret daughter – leaving him and the rest of his family stunned. And it didn’t take long for Priya and Avani to cause plenty of drama.
Between the Panesar family drama and her own romance troubles, Priya’s time in the square has not been short of chaos. And over in the soap recently, things have taken a dramatic turn.
She then decided to take matters into her own hands and promised to make Nish’s last few months “enjoyable” – but for a fee.
Nish shut her down at first, but after watching ex-wife Suki and girlfriend Eve looking loved-up, he quickly changed his mind. At No. 41, Nish told Priya she was a “bad girl” and to take her top off – and finalising the deal, the pair locked lips.
However, they were cut short after the rest of the Panesar clan arrived, revealing that Priya’s son and Nish’s grandson, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) collapsed and were rushed to hospital following his recent steroid use.
At the hospital, Priya was heartbroken – with her and Nish’s deal taking a backseat. However, after rekindling things with Ravi, during Thursday’s episode (July 4) Priya told Nish their deal was off as she wanted to focus on her family.
However, Nish turned nasty and tried to blackmail her instead. He also told her he would never have given her money anyway – but he wasn’t done.
He ended up lying to to Ravi, telling him that he slept with Priya after she played him and demanded he sign over his business to her by threatening to tell everyone what happened.
Ravi later confronted Priya and packed up their daughter Avani’s things, to move in with him. Heartbroken, Priya broke down over Nish’s lies. However, fans reckon things are only going to get worse for Priya – with some claiming she could be killed off.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Priya didn’t know who she was messing with. I did say that she’ll rub someone up (no pun intended) the wrong way really soon and she’ll end up in a bad way.” (sic)
Someone else added: “I’ve got a very bad feeling about our Priya. I feel she’s going to get caught in the cruel crossfire and end up deceased.”
A third even predicted how Priya could get killed off, claiming a huge fire could be started by Nish. The fan wrote: “I can imagine Nish will start a fire this Autumn and she will end up dead.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
