This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which is already available on BBC iPlayer.
Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) have been plotting against evil Nish (Navin Chowdhry) in EastEnders for weeks now – but it looks like their game is up.
Nish Panesar made a shock discovery in tonight’s episode, after overhearing a revealing conversation between his son and ex-wife.
As fans of the BBC soap know, Nish has a terminal illness, and his family are split right down the middle with their attitudes to supporting him in his final days, given his past behaviour.
Vinny is pretending to be there for Nish, but this has been part of a ploy between him and Suki to trick him into leaving all of the family businesses to them in his will, having previously stolen them all from Suki in their divorce settlement.
Wednesday’s episode began with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) visiting son Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) during his dialysis session, accompanied by his friend Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), who supplied Nugget the steroids that landed him in hospital.
A furious Nish banished the pair, threatening he had the power to ensure Priya never saw her kids again.
Taking matters into her own hands, she later called him to the Minute Mart on the pretence of blown electrics, before seizing her moment and handcuffing him to a pipe.
She then tried to record a confession admitting he lied about them sleeping together, which would clear her name and win her back her kids, but he refused.
Putting his medication out of reach in a bid to teach him a lesson, she locked up the shop and left.
But when Suki and Vinny later popped in to check in on why it was closed, they had no idea Nish was locked in the store room, and could hear all of their conversation.
As they laughed about their plan to con Nish, he could be seen reeling from the discovery – just what will he do with this newfound information?
While that still remains unclear, next week sees him bring a face from Suki’s past to Albert Square, with Footballers’ Wives star Laila Rouass taking on the role of Ayesha.
