Reiss has been struggling with money to pay his wife Debbie’s care home bill, and he initially tried to get the cash by telling Sharon she had an outstanding tax bill that needed paying.
After being asked for the evidence, Reiss backtracked and said he found an investment scheme that could double Sharon’s money.
Phil smelled a scam and told Reiss that if Sharon didn’t get her money in two weeks,
he’d kill him. If that wasn’t enough drama, Reiss smothered Debbie to death, stole her wedding ring and tried to sell it online.
In scenes set to air next week, Reiss is stressing about the authorities performing a post-mortem on Debbie,
but Sonia reassures him that it is just standard procedure. Meanwhile, Eve clocks him with Debbie’s wedding ring in the café.
Phil later turns up and tells Reiss that he wants a return on the aforementioned investment in 24 hours… or else.
