Recent weeks have seen Linda racked with worry and hit the bottle again as she prepares to give evidence at the trial as the key witness.
Killer Linda framed Dean for Keanu’s murder, lying about having seen Dean dragging his body into the cafe on Christmas night,
when in actuality, it was her who was responsible for his death.
Knowing Linda has fitted him up – but in the dark as to the real reason why – Dean takes action next week, and sends a contact to accost her in The Vic.
Linda is stunned when the man, known as Fraser, offers her a shock deal.
Her mother Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) intervenes and orders Fraser to leave, but once alone with son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), it’s clear Linda is tempted by his offer.
A desperate Johnny, who knows Linda’s killer secret, tries to talk her out of the idea before Linda finds comfort at the bottom of a bottle again.
Later in the week, Linda is horrified when she receives a blackmail letter, and turns to Johnny to determine who has sent it.
But when a second letter arrives at the Vic, Linda loses control and causes a scene in the pub, accusing several punters of being behind the letters.
As Johnny removes her from the situation and consoles her upstairs, unbeknown to them, the culprit sending the letters is visiting Dean in prison…
Just who is the mystery culprit? And how far will they push an already fragile Linda?
