EastEnders aficionados are up in arms, branding Cindy Beale’s latest fling with former step-son Junior Knight as “disgusting” and clamouring for an immediate halt to the affair. 

Portrayed by Michelle Collins, Cindy has found herself in a torrid relationship with Junior (Micah Balfour) despite her seemingly unstable marriage to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

What began as a fling appears to have exploded into a full-scale secret romance, 

all while concealing it from Cindy’s previous spouse George Knight, brought to life by Colin Salmon, who is also Junior’s dad.

With Ian Beale off in America visiting Ben Mitchell, responsibility over Beale’s Eels falls into Cindy’s hands. 

However, Cindy is preoccupied with concocting excuses to rendezvous with her new beau.

When Peter Beale (Thomas Law) steps out to meet suppliers for the pie shop, 

Cindy sees the opportunity to elevate Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell) to manager so she can sneak away and meet Junior.

Later this week at Beale’s Eels, pandemonium ensues as both Bobby and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) struggle to keep a grip on the running of the restaurant.

As Bobby strives to demonstrate his leadership talents, suspicion strikes when Cindy cites a migraine as a reason to return home early, reports the Daily Star.

The drama intensifies with a near-miss when Bobby almost encounters Cindy and Junior as they are about to ascend the stairs, signalling that the pair are bound to encounter more predicaments ahead.

Yet, amidst the soap’s scandalous events, disgruntled EastEnders viewers demand the termination of Cindy and Junior’s unsavoury liaison.

Voicing their displeasure on X, one particular viewer expressed frustration: “Junior and Cindy still doesn’t make sense. Who wrote this? It’s like Max and Lucy #eastenders.”

A second commented: “Yuck Cindy and Junior make me sick #eastenders”, while a third posted: “Plz. Bobby. I ask you again to take out your murder persona one last time before you go #EastEnders.”
