A beloved Emmerdale star will be saying their goodbyes to the famous Dales.
This year, soap favourite Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Droper) has been
at the centre of a gripping domestic abuse storyline with her new husband Tom (James Chase).
Former flames Belle and Tom rekindled their romance last year – and ended up tying the knot. However, viewers have seen the son of villainous Carl King abuse Belle.
His reign of terror escalated when he discovered she had terminated their unborn child. Belle initially deceived Tom by claiming she had suffered a miscarriage, but eventually found out leaving him enraged.

What’s more, during Wednesday’s (July 3) visit to the village, Tom initiated his new scheme as he plans to isolate Belle by moving her away to Wales from friends and family.
It has now been revealed that the pair will be leaving the Dales for a special episode of the ITV soap. Producer Sophie Roper has shared how the Kings will be headed to Wales following Tom’s latest lies.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she revealed that the soap’s production team ended up recreating a Welsh landscape in Yorkshire. Sophie said: “We’ve got a special episode coming up that sees Tom and Belle head off to Wales on a trip away together. Actually, we recreated Wales in Yorkshire!

“Our fantastic design team [did it]. We’ve got a cottage up in the village, which we’ve re-dressed and made this beautiful Welsh retreat. So it’s really fantastic, the lengths they’ve gone to, to create that within our world.”
Sophie went on: “The story of course, though, set to the backdrop of this beautiful cottage will be really hard-hitting and difficult at moments. Tom is very much isolating Belle from her family, from her surroundings, from everything she knows and loves, which is very much unfortunately a typical trait of abusers and people who are trying to isolate their victim from their family.”
The soap has previously aired a special episode about Tom and Belle back in May. The episode followed the pair hosting a dinner party for Marlon and Rhona – but secrets were soon unearthed.
