Mark Wahlberg is raising the romance bar.
The actor told “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” viewers on Monday that he tattooed his wife Rhea Durham’s name on his ring finger for “Valentine’s Day one year.”
The Oscar nominee, 53, explained, “In case I’m not wearing my ring or working I can always have [this].”
As for his wife’s reaction, Wahlberg said that Durham, 46, called it “the nicest thing [he has] ever done” for her.
At the time, the “Fighter” star joked, “Can I have back the nice jewelry and give you one of these and there we go?”
He clarified to guest host Jeff Goldblum that the tribute is “the only remaining tattoo” he has after getting “all the others removed.”
The “very painful” process took Wahlberg five years, and he compared the experience to “hot bacon getting flicked on you over and over again.”
The Golden Globe nominee has been married to Durham since 2009, and the couple share four kids — Ella, 20, Michael, 18, Brendan, 15, and Grace, 14.
The youngest three children made a rare red carpet appearance at the “Union” premiere Monday night.
Wahlberg’s eldest son, who attended the event with girlfriend Sunni Gaines, flashed his own tattoo in an unbuttoned white shirt.
Ella was absent from the Egyptian Theater as she is a Clemson University student in South Carolina.
In January 2023, Durham documented her college drop-off via Instagram.
“The emotions are running wild. 😞🥹😊😵💫,” she captioned an Instagram selfie without specifying whether her husband took part in the milestone moment.
However, the former rapper told Entertainment Tonight in December 2023 that he crashed a frat party at Ella’s school during parents’ weekend.
“They were having the most fun I’ve ever seen anybody have, ever. It was nuts,” Wahlberg recalled, joking that he wanted to be a “25th year senior.”
