Emmerdale has dropped a bombshell hint that Belle Dingle could meet a tragic end in a chilling scene with Tom King.
Following the shocking events, Belle managed to flee from Wales and return home in recent scenes, where she had a heartfelt reunion with Lydia Dingle. She returned to her shared house with Tom to collect her belongings, only to find him waiting for her.
“You are going nowhere,” he ominously warned her in gut-wrenching scenes on Thursday (July 25), to which she defiantly responded: “You can’t stop me.” It was at this point that he issued a terrifying threat, leaving Belle petrified. He chillingly told her: “I will kill you before I let you leave this house.”
Belle stood her ground, refusing to stay and warning Tom about the potential wrath of Cain. He retorted: “What do you think Cain’s going to do to you? You know the only reason why I haven’t told him is because I don’t want him going to prison for someone like you.”, reports the Mirror.
In other news, actor James Chase, who plays Tom, has spoken out about the challenges of filming these intense scenes. When asked how he decompresses after such heavy material, he said: “LI’ve played other complicated and villainous characters. I’m glad I’ve done that as it helped me coming into this.”
“There are definitely days when we’re doing a lot of difficult scenes – a lot of manipulating, a lot of gaslighting, especially the physical stuff. But myself and Eden, we know we have to do this story really carefully. We have to keep our focus on getting the scenes right. I think once you’re done is if you’re happy with what you’re done, that’s most important.”
In a recent chat with The Mirror, James unveiled how he knew from the get-go about his character’s involvement in a domestic violence plot. He confessed: “When they offered me the part, I knew it was going to be a domestic violence storyline but I didn’t know to what extent. It was a shock at first.
“It took a bit of getting used to but as an actor, it’s great to play compelling and complicated characters. Yes, it is challenging at times but.. for me, it’s just been so important to make sure I get it right.”
James ensured fans that this troubling plot would reach its conclusion, even though he refused to reveal exactly when that might happen. In comparison, he added: “It is good this storyline won’t last forever. I know there will be a finite end but working with everyone on Emmerdale is a dream in itself and I am proud to be part of it all.”
Will this tense storyline culminate with Belle passing away tragically? Or will the Dingles intervene in time to prevent disaster?
