Nish has been left scorned after his wife Suki left him after admitting she was a lesbian.
She had fallen deeply in love with Eve Unwin and had grew to resent her hubby as a result of his abusive and violent ways.
Having made a number of attempts to leave him, their marriage came to a final end at Christmas following The Six’s showdown with Nish.
Ever since, Nish, who has since begun to suffer from a terminal heart problem,
has been out for revenge in order to get one-up on his former partner after going through various family turmoils.
Now, he has begun to execute his ultimate revenge plan by seeking to dredge someone up from Suki’s past.
During today’s episode, Nish recruited granddaughter Avani to help him locate an “acquaintance” of his former wife.
Striking a deal with Avani, he told her that it would be “worth every penny” if she managed to do it and that she had to “keep it to herself” and not breathe a word to Suki.
Avani asked him: “Who is it that you want me to find?”
He handed over a piece of paper containing the name Ayesha Siddhu.
Nish said: “She’s an old friend of Suki’s.
“I know her too, but, well, we’re not as ‘well acquainted’.
“It’s been a while and as I don’t have long left, I just thought it was about time we all… reconnected.”
Avani replied: “Okay, I’ll go do this for you then.”
An evil glare shot out of Nish’s eye as it became clear he was seeking out Ayesha for a specific reason.
EastEnders have already confirmed that actress Laila Rouass will be joining the soap to play Ayesha and rumours have already swirled she could be the mystery woman Suki admitted to cheating on Nish with.
Laila, who is best-known for her roles in Holby City, Primeval and Footballer’s Wives, will take on the role of Ayesha for a guest stint on the BBC soap.
It will transpire that Ayesha knew Suki and Nish a long time ago, but they haven’t been in touch for many years.
Discussing her upcoming appearance, Laila said: “I cannot tell you how excited I am to be in EastEnders!
“I was born in the East End and grew up there, and there was such a buzz when the show started.
“Even though I was little at the time, I can clearly remember the first episode and Doctor Legg arriving at the flat where Reg Cox had been murdered.
“I’ve also known Navin Chowdhry (Nish Panesar) for many years, so it was great to work with him again and to do scenes with Balvinder Sopal (Suki Panesar) and the rest of the Panesars as Ayesha reunites with them.
“This is a lifelong dream come true!”
